PRESS RELEASE

March 9, 2006 -- Modesto, CA. -- The entry deadline for the Kids with Cameras Film Festival has come and gone. 40 films have been received from 14 different countries. These range from animation shorts to "Through the eyes of a child" documentaries. The festival will be held at the Mary Stuart Rogers Center at MJC West Campus on Blue Gum Road in Modesto. ENTRIES ARE STILL BEING ACCEPTED FOR THE PHOTO COMPETITION.

December 1, 2006 -- Modesto, CA. Fujifilm USA comes onboard as a spo0nsor of the Kids with Cameras program providing cameras and film for 60 disadvantaged children in Modesto Schools. The cameras, shich will be used in conjunction with their normal classroom curriculum, provide another avenue of education for the students.

October 4, 2006 -- Modesto, CA. The Board of Directors of The Fireside Foundation, Inc., fresh from the 4th Annual ShockerFest International Film Festival, announced plans for the development of the Kids With Cameras Film and Photo Fesival. The Festival, an extension of the eminently successful Kids With Cameras program, which provided cameras and instruction on their use to 40 under priviliged kindergarten children. These cameras were used as part of their regular studies, complementing the written and oral materials on energy and the environment.
